We believe in the Trinity, that is God the Father\u2014the Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ\u2014the savior Son, and the Holy Spirit\u2014the giver of life, and that the three are one and have never been separated.<\/p>\n
We believe in God the Father, the First Person of the Trinity, the Creator of everything in heavens and on earth, and all that is in them. God the Father is the sustainer of all. The Father is the reason behind existence, is eternal and everlasting.
\nWe believe in Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, the Second Person of the Trinity, who is God incarnate. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and was born from Virgin Mary. He lived among us on earth and was sinless. He died on the cross and rose again on the third day to save us from sin, and to gather the elect to him. He is the one who dwells in our hearts by faith.<\/p>\n
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Counselor and Comforter, the Third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit instructs us in the words of Christ. He is the Giver of power for Christian living to witness and to conquer sin, and the Giver of gifts to individuals and to the church according to need. The Holy Spirit manifests the fruits of the Spirit in every believer. Also he is the one who baptizes us into the body of Christ.
\nWe believe that human beings are God\u2019s creation; created in the image of God in righteousness and holiness of truth, and that the human is the crown of all creation, and are the perfect creation as well. God is sovereign; however, human beings are responsible for their sins. Humans have inherited Adam\u2019s original sin, and are in need of salvation. With Adam\u2019s fall God\u2019s image was not destroyed but rather tarnished, and many of God\u2019s characteristics remain in humanity.<\/p>\n
We believe that human\u2019s salvation from original sin and deliberate sins has been accomplished through Christ\u2019s perfect work on the cross; and it is up to each individual person to have heartfelt faith in Christ\u2019s work and to accept his work on the cross. We also believe that believers have to strive in a life of devotion in order to live out the salvation of consecration, and to live the rest of their lives devoted to Christ, waiting for the salvation of glorification that is to take place when we are transformed from our earthly bodies.<\/p>\n
We believe in the Holy Bible, with both its Old and New Testaments. We believe that it is the word of God written in human language and it tells us who God is, and who human beings are. It is sufficient for faith and works, and it is beneficial for the edification of people of all ages. We believe that the Bible was written by God’s people\u2014the saints who were filled with the Holy Spirit\u2014through the culture and circumstances of each writer. They wrote to individuals and people of various circumstances, cultures, and needs. The Bible writers used various literary forms\u2014such as poetry, narratives, wisdom, prophecy and apocalypse\u2014in order to suit those to whom the word was written, as well as to suit the content.<\/p>\n
We believe that the Church is God\u2019s people whom He gathered in Christ\u2014throughout the whole world through all ages\u2014and this is the invisible church. We also believe in the visible Church which gathers the believers and in it they are all equal. The local organized Church is the image of Christ\u2019s body: in it the gifts of the Holy Spirit are poured out, and in it the life of submission to one another, to the system, and to those in charge of it, is practiced. This in turn resembles Christ\u2019s relationship with the Church. Christ is the head of the Church, and the Church is his body, which was in God\u2019s mind since eternity. It is God\u2019s new people in Christ, in which all God\u2019s promises to his people in the Old Testament have been fulfilled. The Church has a mission to the world, and a vision for society: to be the salt and light of its community. We believe in the Church that lives in the world, but the world does not live in it; that practices its worship to its God in an orderly fashion and without distraction; and which practices the sacraments that were agreed upon by the visible Church: the sacrament of the Lord\u2019s Supper and the sacrament of baptism. We believe in the importance and the role of each individual in the church whether male or female, and that gender does not divide the duties and gifts given by the Holy Spirit to the Church. We believe in the Church that is the body of Christ: it has one head and many members that vary roles, and that each member completes the other without competing with one another. I believe that the Church is Christ\u2019s bride that is set apart as consecrated for the groom\u2014who is Christ\u2014and that the church should live in anticipation of meeting with the groom. The Church is the body of Christ made up of kings and priests offering spiritual sacrifices.<\/p>\n
We believe in the second coming of Christ at a day and time we do not know. At His coming the world will end and there will be final judgment for all people, both dead and alive. At that time, all those who are in Christ will meet him in the clouds and will be with him in heaven forever. And until that day we will live to praise his name, spread his peace and goodness on earth, and fulfill social justice as Jesus Christ did on earth.<\/p>\n
